DJ #3: Quote 2 TKM

"When Mr. Nathan Radley passed us on his daily trip to town, we would stand still and silent unitl he was out of sight, then wonder what he would do to us if he suspected. Our activities halted when any of the neighbors appeared, and once I saw Miss Maudie Atkinson staring across the street at us, her hedge clippers poised in midair." pg. 44

  2. They are planning something unusual that they don't want anyone else to see besides themselves. If Mr. Nathan, Miss Maudie, or anyone other grown up. Then they would get in trouble. Since they don't want anyone to see what they're up to. Then they are planning to do something big and bad.

  3. (P) i think that the three(jem, scout, and dill) will get caught by a nearby witness and will be reported to either the police, or their father atticus. whoever is told about this action, will punish them with a severe punishment. either way they will have to change their activities from now on.

  4. They are up to something that they know they shouldn't be doing. They know if they get caught they are going to be in trouble with Atticus.

  5. The narrator stood still and silent every time Mr. Radley would pass by. It is clear that she is stricken with guilt about the game they have been playing, "boo's big scheme" and fears he suspects what they have done. Theses group of kids are a wild bunch and you can never suspect what they'll do. I wonder what the will do if Mr. Radley found out. I wonder what Mr. Radley would do if he found out. I wonder what would have happened if Atticus didn't find out. I have a feeling that they wont stop playing this game until they get into some real trouble.

  6. (P) From this quote I can predict that Mr. Nathan Radley scares them. He scares them to the point to where they are in silence to prevent him from suspecting when they are in his sight. I can also tell that Mr. Nathan Radley can suspect of somebody just by their actions. Scout and Jem's activities stopped whenever they saw a neighbor looking at them. It is apperant that the people in their town assume many things just by watching somebody do something. Jem and Scout's actions are involving something that may make the neighboors suspect something is up.

  7. Scout and her brother are very scared and nervous when Mr.Radley passes by. Problaby because they think Mr.Radley found out that they touched his house, tried to send a card (through a window),or that he found out they have been doing plays about his life. Other than this being kinda funny and very possible in life now I can remenber doing something like it when i was kid. Like when I was a kid I did something bad and my dad who didn't know at that time walked by I would very quite when he passed by. That reminds very much of this, which makes sense since both are very similar. But one of the diffrences is that my dad found out and he got really mad unlike what I think Mr.Radley is gonna be which is midly concerned. And still I want to read on to see if there any more similarities in this book.

  8. They want to play their game about boo radley, but fear that they will be punished by their parents or their neighbors for mocking the radleys. I predict that they will be caught and punished by someone

  9. The kids are going to do something that they don't want Mr. Radley to know about.

  10. I think that Miss Maudie somehow knows or like feels that they are going to do something that is not good at all. If they are planning something, they have to becareful or else they will get in trouble. Big Time.

  11. From reading this quote i can tell that Jem and Scout are planning to do something bad, they don't want Mr. Radley to know about, or any other adult. And also i can see that their neighbors can predict somethings going on just by looking at someone else's actions, that's why Jem and Scout hide when they see their neighbors appeared.I think that they are going to be caught by Atticus.

  12. They are doing something they know they shouldn't do, that's why they get nervous when they see that Miss maudie was staring at them. They are probably going to do something to boo radley and dont want to get caught because they know they will suffer consequences.

  13. In my opinion, i predict that the three kids are trying to hide something that no body can't know only themselves and Mr. Radley discovers them in a way that they wouldnt figure out on what he has seen or what he had figured.

  14. The children are trying to be real sneaky so the teachers wont suspect anything from them.

  15. The kids are planning on doing something sneaky. They are looking around to make sure that no one is looking so that they wont get caught. You can tell that they are afraid of Mr.Radley seeing them trying to slip a note on his door or even close to his house.

  16. Oviously they are doing something they arent suppose to do.They probably know that if Atticus or Mr.Radley found out, then they would be in big trouble.Like you can tell they are up to something because they stop whenever they see that one of the neighbors are watching them. Maybe later on they will get caught and be punish.

  17. the kids are planning to do something that they wouldn't want Mr. Randley to see. Every time when someone looked at them, they would stop what they were doing and pretend nothing is going on. Doesn't seem that this game is gonnna be funny after they get caught by Mr. Randly.

  18. its obvious that Radley scares them.i noticed that most of the people in that small town assume things just by what they watch, that's why Jems activity's stopped as soon as he sees someone watching him.

  19. Maybe they are trying to plan something and don't want Mr.Radley to know anything about it. I think they want to do something mean to Miss Maudie or any of the teachers and they are trying to hide it from all the grown ups because they know that they can get in trouble and they are afraid of Mr.Radley. Probably in the end they will get caught and get punished by whoever they were trying to be mean to.

  20. They are scared when Mr.Radley passes by because they know that they have been doing wrong with the game they are playing.I think that Mr.Radley and Miss Maudie knows that they have been playing the game about the Radleys. They are probably going to get caught and they are going to get in trouble or maybe Mr.Radley will get revenge and get them in a serious problem.

  21. The kids are playing a simple game about Boo Radely, but dont want anyone else to know about it fearing they may be punished for their actions. Later they may be caught by their father our one of their neighbors when they least expect it.

  22. Scout,Jem,and Dill is coming up with a plan but doesn't want Mr.Radley to know about it. Scout,Jem,and Dill all want to know more about Mr.Radley. If they get caught by Mr.Radley,Miss Maudie,or Atticus, they will be in trouble. If Atticus didn't catch the children, they would probably continue with their plan.

  23. (C) This quote reminds me of a time in my life when i use to stared at our neighbor when she use to walk in front of my house with her long finger nails.I predict that Scout, Jem, and Dill will get caught by someone like i got caught by my mom.

  24. Jem, Scout, And Dill I Predict They Would Get Caught By Atticus Or Someone From The Neighborhood Will Tell Him

  25. (P) I think Miss Maudie notice what the children are doing because she's staring at them. Also maybe the they will have to change their activities before Miss Maudie suspects more and takes action.

  26. This seems to be a clue to show that the children will be caught. They do get caught later on and Atticus disapproves of their game. I think scout is the most paranoid one of the three because she is noticing things that a person normally wouldn't notice. When they do get caught she starts trying to get the game to stop but Jem doesn't want to.

  27. The main characters Dill, Jem, and Scout are spying on Mr. Radley. They try and be as quiet as possible and get the note to his window but Ms. Maudie froze and called over Atticus. They didn't want to get caught but they did.

  28. It looks like Dill,Jem,and Scout playing some game, and then Mr.Radley will be very disturbed and tell their parents about what they are doing.

  29. The children do not want to get caught by anybody like an adult because they are kind of very sneaky kids .

  30. Jem,Scout, and Dill were trying to get Mr.Radley to come out of his home and talk to him and get him to play with them. They have tried to do this without being noticed but Ms.Maudie must have seen them because it said she was looking at them one day while she was cutting her bush. After awhile of doing this Atticus some how found out and told them to stop doing it.
